Terms
Terms of service
These are the terms for using musicrank: the website, accounts, the API, the MCP server, exports and embeds. By using any of them, you agree to them.
Last updated October 19, 2026.
What musicrank is
We add up the charts streaming services publish into one. The positions, figures and dates are those the services published, read as they published them. We aren't affiliated with any of them, and nothing here is endorsed by them. How the charts work is on our about page.
We work to get it right, but a chart can be late, incomplete or wrong: a service may publish late, publish a mistake, or change what it publishes, and our matching of the same song across services can be mistaken. Don't rely on musicrank for anything where a wrong figure would cost you; check with the source.
It can change or stop
We can change, suspend or stop any part of musicrank, or all of it, at any time, with or without notice. That includes a chart, a country, a source, a feature, an API route, and the history we keep.
The charts come from services we don't control. Any of them can change what it publishes, limit our access or block us, at any time and for any reason. When that happens, the charts and figures that depend on it may stop updating, have gaps, lose their history or disappear, and we may not be able to bring them back. We aren't responsible for what a source does, or for what you lose when it does.
Where we can, we'll say on the site when a chart stops, and email account holders before we close a feature they use.
Your account
You sign in with Google. An account is one person's: keep it to yourself, and keep your API keys secret, since anything done with them is done as you.
You can delete your account at any time from your account page, and everything it holds goes with it. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other people at risk.
Plans and payment
Accounts are free. Some features come with Pro, a subscription paid by the month or the year. Its price and what it includes are on our pricing page, and shown again before you pay. Prices include VAT where it applies.
Pro is sold through Link, Stripe's checkout, which is the seller of record: it takes the payment, charges the VAT or sales tax of your country, and sends your receipts and invoices. Its terms, shown when you pay, cover the payment itself, including refund requests and any right to withdraw from the purchase where you live. We never see your card.
Pro renews by itself at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, from your account page or on link.com, and keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
If we stop Pro, or a feature it includes, before the end of a period you've paid for, we'll refund the part you haven't used. We may also give Pro by hand, without payment, and can take that back.
Using the API, exports and embeds
Each plan has limits, such as calls a day, and they apply to every key and session you hold. Don't get around them: by spreading calls across accounts, by scraping the site instead, or otherwise. Don't use musicrank to harm the services it reads, or to overload ours.
You can use what you get from musicrank, and publish charts and figures from it, as long as you say they come from musicrank. An embed says so itself, at its foot; on Pro, embeds on the sites you name go without it, and that's fine. Don't resell our data in bulk, or use it to offer a copy of musicrank.
Song titles, artist names and artwork belong to their owners. We show them to say which music a chart is about, and so can you; any other use is between you and them.
No guarantees
musicrank is provided as it is, without any promise that it will be available, accurate or fit for a purpose. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, profit or business, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits what the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. If a change matters to account holders, we'll email them before it takes effect. Using musicrank after a change means you accept it.
